Before the big decisions, get the foundations straight.
A focused look at how your business reports and performs today – so you know which numbers you can trust, which ones are missing, and what to fix first. No obligation, no ongoing commitment. Just a clear picture of where you stand.
Two to three weeks
From the point I have your information to the debrief
A few hours of your time
One working session, plus the debrief. That's it.
Standalone by design
A first step in its own right – no obligation to go further
What I look at
Not a generic audit. I'm looking for what actually drives your business, and whether your current reporting shows it to you.
Revenue & Cash Cycle
How money moves through the business and what that means for how growth gets funded.
The KPIs that matter
Not just a dashboard. The handful of numbers that tell you whether this business is working.
Cost Structure
Where cost is deliberate investment, and where it has simply crept in over time.
Your Current Reporting
Where cost is deliberate investment, and where it has simply crept in over time.
What you get
Two things, and both are designed to be used rather than filed.
Findings report
Succinct, not exhaustive
A short written report setting out what I found: what your current reporting tells you, where the gaps are, and where I think things could be improved.
Detail where detail earns its place – never for its own sake. You should be able to read it in one sitting and know what to do next.
Debrief
We talk it through
A conversation to walk through the findings together – what matters most, what I'd prioritise, and what you'd want to leave alone for now.
This is where the value lands. Questions, pushback and "what about…" are all welcome; a report you've discussed is a report you'll act on
How it works
Four steps, two to three weeks, and only a few hours of your time.
Step 01
Review
I work through your current reporting materials to understand the financial picture properly.
Step 02
Conversation
One to two hours together on how reporting works today, the rhythm of it, and where you feel blind.
Step 03
Report
My findings written up: what your reporting gives you, what's missing, and what I'd change.
Step 04
Debrief
We go through it together and agree what – if anything – happens next.
Start with a Clear picture
Tell me where you're trying to take the business, and I'll tell you honestly whether a Foundations Review is the right first step.
